About Forgotten Legends

Forgotten Legends is a public map of revolutionaries and the movements they belonged to. A yellow dot marks a primary revolutionary. A grey dot marks a secondary figure. The point of the site is memory and orientation: who, where, when, and what changed.

Each profile is a short historical summary of a revolutionary: name, years, place, role, and outcome. It is a public atlas, not a final scholarly archive.

Use the admin panel to add a revolutionary, upload a portrait, and click the map to drop the pin. Published revolutionaries appear on the homepage, in the Revolutionaries menu, and in the library. Drafts stay private.

What this site is for

Reading history in public. It is not a guide to organizing violence, and the biographies stay at the level of names, places, outcomes, and consequences.
